My first painting in oils

It's done.. well almost.. I just want to add a bit of detail to the stalks to complete it (although I am sure I will touch up some other bits too!!)

I have always wanted to give Oil paints a proper go and this is my first attempt! Just a little still life of a Chilli cut in half but I really enjoyed doing it.

It's on a piece of 7x5" gesso'd board.

Watch this space because I really can see myself doing a lot of detailed stuff in oil now.

I will add some proper photo's when it's 100% finished as this was quickly taken on my phone
